Free AF is proud to partner with the Nelson Mandela Foundation. We’re on a mission to advance personal and societal freedoms by normalising alcohol-free choices while funding the work that defends human freedom and dignity.
From November 2025, a percentage from the sale of every can of Free AF sold globally over the next three years will go to to the Nelson Mandela Foundation in support of their work during which time, FREE – a project showcasing the stories of fifty inspiring thought leaders, artists, actors and athletes who share a commitment to Nelson Mandela’s ethos “Free yourself. Free others. Serve every day,” – will be created.

OUR MISSION
Free AF was created to give people more freedom.
Our mission is simple: to reduce the alcohol in people’s lives by making alternatives that taste and feel just as good, or better.
Our founder, Lisa King, believes the world would be a better place with a little less alcohol in it. “It’s not about reducing the fun. AF is about giving people the freedom and choice to stay out, have a drink, and socialise - without the stigma or the hangover.”
Freedom here means many things:
- Free to live with balance
- Free to socialise without stigma
- Free to choose to drink on your terms
- Free to be the true undiluted expression of yourself
THE PARTNERSHIP
This mission has found a natural partner in the Nelson Mandela Foundation, whose work continues Mandela’s lifelong vision of freedom and equality.
FREE AF has committed that a percentage of proceeds from the sale of every can of Free AF sold globally over the next three years will go to the Nelson Mandela Foundation to support their work.

The Project – FREE
The partnership will come to life in a major international project: FREE - a content and photographic series, in collaboration with publishers Blackwell & Ruth and photographer Magdalena Wosinska.
FREE - a major international multimedia project featuring original interviews with fifty inspiring and celebrated individuals around the world who embody Mr. Mandela’s values and lifelong commitment to freedom, equality, and service to inspire a new generation to “Free yourself, free others and serve every day".

This partnership is a long-term commitment.
